LEVEL II: Lost, Outdated or Unsupported Third-Party Software
In complex organizations like energy exploration and service companies, it's not uncommon for mission-critical, third-party software to become scattered, outdated, unsupported -- even misplaced. And given the fact that one piece of software often affects another, you can experience extensive downtime and incur similar losses if just one of those software components crashes, or if one of your software vendors fails to support you or worse, goes out of business.
When this happens, you need to have ready access to the source code and other vital components of these software products. Our Level II service inventories ALL of your third-party software packages, preserves them and retains copies of all versions that your vendor creates, so you don't have to worry about access to older copies that might otherwise be unavailable.
LEVEL III: Internal Intellectual Property Items
Finally, there are network & server passwords, encryption keys, confidential records & credentials and other intellectual property. Guard-IT's encrypted repository holds these items, in addition to the "large items" mentioned above, for your easy access should any of these become lost or stolen. Further, having these items stored with us (a neutral third party) gives you proof of ownership by contract rather than by dispute or litigation.
